KP Tech HM-20 wiring problem Acura TL 2005
if hood is popped, but not fully opened if windows are down will key fob close windows?
found 2 black and yellow wires in door .
fisrt time we hooked up black and yellow wire windows would only go up part of the way.
Then we hooked upto second black and yellow wire.
( did not notice hood was popped )
So nothing worked we took module and harrness out.
Then realized hood was popped open so we are asking for someone to test their module with hood popped to see if windows will still roll up.
Spent 2 weekends on wrong wires got frustrated need to know if this is my fault.
Need to know which black and yellow wire is the Trigger

Sorta hard to read that but even if I performed the test where I unlock my hood but not open it and my windows didn't roll up, why would that be a problem?
Is it happening all the time or just when the hood is unhooked?
I've had these KP modules in my TL and Z for more than a year and a half, maybe 2, with my wires connected with clips. I don't think thats the problem.

kp window module
reason im asking about the hood slightly being open is windows didnt roll up on this car im trying to see if someone can test their car to see when hood is unlatched if their windows will still go up with key fob. reason for this is we cant get windows to close smoothly we are trying to see if somethig is wired incorrectly

pionex292, I noticed you have also posted seeking for help in the main KP Tech thread: KP Technologies Window roll up module install 3G Garage #I-097.
I guess I will keep this one open since in this thread your issue is regarding the hood.
In the future, please do not post in two threads (across subforums) asking similar questions. Thanks.
BTW, good luck with the module. KPierson is a nice guy and he'll gladly help you out. Just give him a ring.

First, learn to use periods and whitespace. It helps in communicating.
When your hood is popped, the alarm system doesn't arm properly... which is preventing your windows from going up. You have open circuit (hood switch), that can't be armed... ummm... because it's open... duh.
Ever notice when you try to arm the alarm with the hood popped you never get the "beep" on the second push?
Why would this be a problem? Who knows what the kpmodule is doing when it can't sense the alarm is armed properly...
Close the hood and test it.

oh great!! does anyone have a clue as to why in the world my kp window roll up mod would work like a charm for awhile then suddenly have issues where it won't roll up the windows? for example they intermittently rollup just a teeny little jolt as if it were to roll up but jolts and stops, doesn't roll up 50 % of the time. but after i first installed it, it worked like a charm after many many trials. i even rechecked my wiring and soldered them to be sure. why would it work all the time, then start this 50/50 crap?

Then you determine the fault to be with using T-tap "scotchlock connectors that are too large... What gives?
Not like it matters since your problem is solved... but posts like this serve to create an uncertain market for potential buyers of a proven product and an excellent vendor. Your contradictory post only consfuses us, the vendor, and folks interested in this product.
