kenwood DNX7100 installed

i just had this head unit installed in my in my '05 TL. i must say that ultimate audio here in Orlando did a nice job on the install. i bought the backup cammera, bluetooth, and ipod cable with it, and they also istalled a power acoustik ov2-420 amp for free, but it sound like 100% **** on our stock sub. so im planning on probably getting a 8w3v3. heres the pictures:

only question i have is, how do i manually disable the HFL because a message keeps poping up on my phone every 30 seconds to tell me that it wants to connect to the HFL

To each his own, I haven't seen an aftermarket system yet that looks decent in a 04+ TL. I'm sure is sounds great....

The module is up in the roof where the lights are. You can probably just disconnect the connector going to it.

it would look a lot more factory if they made those trim pieces without the radio wheel indents

The other thing that makes it look out of place is that none of the lines of the display flow with the lines that eventually outline it.

Acura did a very nice job of recessing the information display and combined it with curves to make it look good even though the lines are not parallel.

Anything that has replaced the stock unit just doesn't get that factory look.

That said, you did an excellent job with what you had to work with. Like someone said, I'll bet is sounds a lot better than our stock units.

ya I agree but id rather sacrifise design for sound quality and navigation. I had the dealership disable the hfl when I went in to fix my headlight and now it works perfectly. all I need now is the ipod cable to come in
