Hi,
I am new to the forum and you guys seem to be the expert on Acuras. I just recently purchased an '08 TL Type S and I am loving it. I do have one question. It might seem a bit odd. Does the joystick on the Nav have any illumination behind it? I feel like there was some lighting there but I could be completely wrong. I have searched for pics of the dash illuminated but have had no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

I wanna say, when I had my TL-S, that joy stick is not alluminated behind it. Welcome to AZ

No illlumination on the joystick... That joystick is by far my least favorite thing on the car... Anybody figure out how to make the joystick a little more user friendly?

Nope, but you will hardly ever use it.
The only reason I use it is to scroll the map to look for traffic, other than that just use the touch screen

 

I bought mine in October and I haven't used the joystick much at all. I'm 99% sure it's not illuminated.

And...welcome! Post up some pics and specs on your new ride!

 

I push it to enter the OK button on the screen. Keeps my screen finger print free.

 

No illumination for sure, but I don't really care since 99% of the time I don't use it.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, I will definitely post a few pics. I don't use the joystick much either but for some reason I thought at one point it was illuminated. Just one of those random things I noticed when I was driving the other night. Once again, I think this forum is awesome.
