Just ordered Razr V3

Unfortunately, I won't get it until next week when I get back from vacation. Absolutely can't wait to link up the HFL. I'm surprised I went as long as I did without getting a bluetooth phone.

Anyways, anyone with the V3 have any words of advice?

I had a V-600 that I easily paired with my '04TL. Several months ago, I got the Razr and absolutely love this phone. It paired perfectly with the TL, but only shows caller ID and signal strength...still no battery meter. Motorola should be ashamed of themselves for not putting battery strength on the bluetooth display. As far as the phone itself goes, the thing that is totally amazing about this phone is it's ability to work in weak signal areas. In the past, every cellphone I've owned would not work in the basement of my Mom's home. With the Razr, even though it only shows a weak signal, it will receive calls and I can hold a normal coversation with absolutely no breakup or echo's. This is one awesome phone and you are going to love it.

I got my Razr through Cingular last week. It works flawlessly!! It took a little bit of tinkering to get it to pair with the TL, but since then it works awesome.

The bluetooth shuts off when I leave the car and you can hear it turn off. The only trouble I have encountered is with the voice dialing. I can say the numbers and the TL recognizes them easily, but the preprogrammed names are hard for it to understand. But I'm not complaining. (it must be the Boston accent )

I switched from a nextel to this phone and would recommend it to everyone!

the other downfall is that it doesn't display the battery power on the MID, but I keep it plugged in so it doesn't matter. It does show the caller id and the signal strength in the MID.

good luck,

Chad

Are you guys having a problem with the phone battery? My V3 dies within 24-36 hours after a full charge. I don't even use the phone much...15-20 min. a day. Could it be something with the bluetooth auto connecting/disconnecting with I am in/out of the car?

if you have bluetooth ON all the time, it will absolutely kill your battery faster than if you have it OFF. i turn my bluetooth feature OFF on my phone when i know im going to be away from my car for an extended period and turn it back ON when im getting in the car. hope this helps!

I agree, my phone dies fast with the bluetooth on. (even in auto mode)

If you know you'll be away from your car for a while, just turn it off. It takes 3 seconds to turn it back on.

this phone shows the dirt pretty easy. I'm wiping it off all the time.

If you still have a little sponge thingy came with the phone with M on it, it's a screen cleaner and comes in handy cleaning screen, keypad, outer display and camera lense.

Also, I've programed my phone with Bluetooth option at the right soft key where AIM is in the Cingular version. It's easy to switch on/off BT from this button.

I love my RAZR V3.

Love this phone. It's awesome. I am a little disappointed that there's no battery strength (on the MID) seeing as how expensive it is I feel it should work flawlessly, but I can deal.

Unfortunately, my phone was shipped to the hotel I was staying at and the cleaning lady threw out the box which had everything (excluding the phone, charger and manual). I still don't understand what she was thinking...but oh well. What else am I missing. I remeber seeeing a CD Rom...does anyone know if/how I can get a replacement...what else am I missing?

Chad-The accent comment was pretty funny. I was reading it and was like I didn't have this problem then read the Boston accent. Went to school up in Mass. so I can appreciate the TL's point of view when trying to understand you guys up there. "Paark the caar in Haavard Yaard".

If you bought it from Cingular, it didn't come with a CD. If you have the phone, charger, and manual...what else do you need? If you did receive the CD and the cleaning lady threw it our, I would have the hotel pay for a new CD.
