Paired it with the TL (it was very easy) and unfortunately you get no battery or signal strength. The phone was just released yesterday so maybe down the road with a firm wear upgrade this will be fixed.

Made some calls using the new phone with the TL and everybody said it sounded soooo much better than my T616 and T637 every did. So that’s a plus.

Oh in the picture the phone looks big but it's just a tad bigger than the T637.

I just got this phone too. Is the battery/signal the only feature that doesn't work?

Just purchased the Audiovox SMT5600 and I really like it.
But I couldn't pair it with my 2004 TL like you seem to
have been able to.

When I called the Acura Handsfreelink line they told
me though it was Bluetooth it did not have the HFL/HFP
software/firmware so it would not work.

Bummer...I really want to keep this phone so please
let me know what you dd to get it to pair with the TL.

I just followed the instruction in the manual. Nothing special. What happens when you try to pair it?

Got some advice about it from a friend and it is now working...has dropped out on me
twice in 3 weeks and then transferred the call to the phone but other than that it's working pretty well.

I just bought a 2005 TL and have the Audiovox SMT5600. I also had trouble pairing it and so did the salesman who sold me the car.

Did any specific settings need to be set on the phone to make it pair?

I also like the phone a lot and would like to get it to work.

I have this phone too and having problems using call waiting with HFL. When I'm the phone (via HFL) and another calls comes in, I hit the button the steering wheel and the HFL dies but the call is still on the phone. I have to use the phone or say transfer to get it back. Has anyone seen this behavior. My car used to work fine with my old SE T616.

I too have had trouble pairing. I have paired 2 phones with TL without problem but cant pair the 5600. ANy tricks. Bob, what was the advice you got?

I have a 04 TL and just bought a samsung a437 it paired easy but I have no signal or battery bars. Any suggestions. What do you all mean by fireware???

Trouble with this bluetooth on my 2005 RL...
OK I can phomne our just fine
but when someone phone in as soon as I answer it drops the call. One in a while it does work.
Is this the Hands Free Link Control UNit???

If so when do I find one of these to buy??
