Junk in your Trunk - Subwoofer Photos

I'm looking for ideas for adding a sub to the TL. If you have a aftermarket woofer, post a completed pix of your Junk in the Trunk.

There are actually a few threads with pictures. Have you tried performing a search? The keywords sub* or aftermarket should bring up a few.

Just finished this yesterday. JL 8W3v2. Put everything back together and you cant see anything. Just how I like it. I put a e1200 JL amp under the drivers seat.

Take a look at my setup. I don't have any pics. Because it looks totally stock. Read my thread. I too used the JL Audio 8" The sound Is very full. I run the head unit at -2 or -3 Its plenty loud!!!

I'd like to do one 12, just trying to figure out the best place to put it. I don't want to loose much trunk space and trying to go for the clean stock look if at all possible.

Most amps will accept ether line level or amp out (speaker level) inputs. So do as we did just cut off the old sub. wires, and run them into you new amp then to your new sub.

The "box" is made by using the stock cover under the trunk. The one that covers the underside of the speakers now. We just used wood plugs on ether side of the sub. Then siliconed them in, so it was air tight. Thats all.......

You can hook up a LOC (line output converter) to your stock sub inputs, or just run your stock sub inputs to the high level input on an amp.

TLFourplay, did you also box in the sub like spiritman did? I would assume so since it's not a free air sub...

Yeah, I used my jig saw to cut spcifically shaped wood peices after I made templates with manilla paper. Then screwed em in and then sealed the enclosure, plugged off all holes in metal with sheet metal and then sound deadened all of it.
