Issues With Hands Free Link

I have 2005 Acura TL.Hands Free Link (HFL) is a cool feature in the car and I love it. Today when I started the car and wanted to use the HFL to make a call, it did not respond. I pressed the talk button i did not get a beep and computer did not responded back to ask to make calls. So its just that i press the talk button and nothing happens. When I pressed info to go to Hands Free Link and pressed it showed the message "Hands Free Link" --"Booting Up" and it showes the message like this for more than 20 minutes and nothing happened. I use I-Phone 3G for Blue tooth. Can anybody please help me what to do? Your responses will be appreciated.

Thanks

Is it now stuck there? It sounds like the hfl unit is going or gone bad.

You could try disconnecting the battery but make sure you have all the radio and navi codes handy.

Its fixed now. When i went back to the car after 2 hours it was working perfectly normal. Let me see if it reproduces in some more days, then i will take it to Acura Dealer. Still have warranty left. Thanks for the reply

I've had this happen 3-4 times- first time within 6 months of getting the car new. It self-corrected on the next ignition cycle thereafter each time it occurred .
The boot-up error hasn't occurred in my car for over a year now, IIRC, so I don't worry about it any more. Come to think of it, it has not happened at all with my new (as of January) phone, either.

Welcome to AZ.

There is a TSB out - 05-020 - detailing replacement of HFL modules manufactured before 8/18/04. If you think your module fits this date, I'd head to a dealer.

Good luck, hope this may help you.
