iSimple volume...
i am extremly fed up with the isimple being half as loud as when i use the CD player or radio. is there anything i can do about it? i know there are hundreds on TL owners on this forum who are just as sick of it as i am....
if they are gonna make me pay for the module plus their stupid apple firmware update the least they can do is function properly according to volume
F**K Isimple!!!!.......ok now that my venting is done, what can be done. i know nothing of audio, only performance

I think its really a toss up, really depends if you get a good unit or not.. We will find out this summer once the heat really kicks in if any problems happen..

It is the files on your iPod or iPhone. If you use high quality recordings, then they should be about 90% as loud as the stereo and CD. I do have some older, lower quality, stuff that is half as loud.
You can turn "sound check" on with your iPod or iPhone and it will help some... at least it will be constant.

I have had the iSimple for two years and I love it. I do not listen to radio anymore except for NPR or CSPAN on the way to work. My lower quality songs (128 mb) are half as loud. The 192 and 320 mb songs sound awesome. Just a thought.

My isimple sounds great, sounds better than music I have on a cd . Only problem I have which isn't a big deal is, sometimes it lags while I'm changing tracks using the steering wheel controls.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I'm particularly dissatisfied with the fidelity of the isimple pxamg iPod solution. It's alright, but not nearly as good as just using a dock "line out" cable from the iPod into the aux 3.5mm factory radio input. I've seen others post on here that the usa spec has superior sound quality compared to the isimple. Has anyone else had both and can give their opinion?
