i just had this installed for my 08 non nav tl a few weeks ago. everything is great except that every now and then it won't boot up. for example, when i start the car, my screen is blank, no audio. if i hit am/fm and then aux (what you're supposed to do to turn on the isimple if you are currently in radio or cd mode) nothing happens except it goes to the radio when you hit am/fm.

i've tried turning on and off the radio repeatedly, i've tried turning the car off and then turning on the power to the car (not engine) repeatedly. i've tried turning on and off the engine repeatedly.

so far the only thing that works is turning on and off the engine and then trying. unfortunately sometimes this takes several tries at a time and i don't want to turn my engine on and off...

has anyone else had this problem and are there any solutions?

 

It sounds like something is not plugged in all the way or the dip switches on your PXAMG are positioned incorrectly. I would wager that you've got a loose connection though.

 

This sounds like the lag problem that i keep reading about. What firmware version do you have?
