This weekend I took my car in for a full service handwash. I'm guessing the car wash guy mashed the buttons on the radio because when I got the car again, neither of the displays show any artist or title info, and instead just always say "AUX1". I can press Mode to change to AUX2 but it doesn't effect anything. And now buttons "5" and "6" which used to be used to navigate the artists/tracks/Play lists etc. don't seem to do anything. Music still plays from the iPod, but no way really of choosing what will play.

Anybody have any ideas how to fix or what went wrong?

 

try the display mode button to see if you get the text up and running again, but dunno about the 5 and 6 buttons..

 

Thanks for the reply, but display doesnt' do anything. I think I have to take apart my dash and unplug the iSimple for a few minutes and replug it, according to their documentation. So frustrating! Maybe I'll just try disconnecting the battery instead.

When you exit XM and then reenter XM, can you turn the right knob to switch between ipod, aux 1, xm, etc? You only have 2 or 3 seconds to do this.

 

You are an evil genious! You saved me from a serious hassle, thank you so much! They didn't even have idea in the troubleshooting of the iSimple documentation. They just said to press DISP until it reads CHANNEL NAME, but that didn't work.
