Streaming music in ipod bluetooth mode works for about a minute and then starts to cut out. It doesnt sound like its losing reception. It sounds like its being played in fast forward or something of that sort. Does anyone else with this unit have this problem. When playing through connected through USB its always plays the music cleary, but sometimes I am unable to skip tracks through the steering wheel. It is really frustrating. The one good thing I can point out is that it doesnt cause my iphone to get locked with the mute screen as my old isimple did. I checked the website and the newest update was 2014.

any help? Are these things common? from searching I know people have problems with phone calls and HFL but I dont have those issues and dont even talk on the phone much.

 

I had issues with my ISHD651 setup as well in my 08 TL-S. Even bought an additional harness to see if it would fix the problem, however it did work for a bit. The module continued to not work properly.
I'm going for the USA Spec or just a whole new head unit.

Do you have a Navi model TL? If so, the manufacturer's website clearly states "Vehicles equipped with XM Nav-Traffic are not compatible" for the ISHD651.

 

I have been using the GROM-USB3 for a few months now and it works pretty good.

 

It's really strange. The iSimple Gateway + BT add on works completely fine, but the iSimple Connect does exactly what has been mentioned. It's extremely irritating hearing your music speed up and skip. Nice to know it's not just my unit. For what it's worth, I've tried both an iPhone and Android device with the same results.
