iPod question

I went to get an input installed for my ipod. They said the unit they had would not work because of the stock 6 disk changer.

Can any of you here recommend or tell me where to purchase the correct part so i can link my ipod to my stock system.

I have an '05 no navi.

Also, i don't mind manually controlling my ipod. I just don't want anything else interrupted.

Thanks!

Frank

Hi and welcome frank. I will answer your question, but the next time I suggest you search and look at the audio FAQ about this, as there are many threads about the same subject.

All of the accesory devices will work as you have an internal cd changer, not the external one that takes up the port that the adapter will use.

These are the adapters that will work:
USA SPEC Hon2Y - Keeps XM, No IPOD Text, full Ipod control from both ipod and car
DICE R3 - keeps XM, NO IPOD Text, full Ipod control
Dice R4 - No XM, IPOD TEXT is displayed, full ipod control
Phreperial Unit PXAMG - keeps XM, Ipod text, full ipod control.

The phreperial unit (spelling?) is currently for sale, but few have reported a few small problems with it. Good luck and happy motoring.
