1. with the blitzsafe ipod mount, can u use the steering wheel controls to switch songs and use the volume button?

2. is the oem mount compatible with an 05? i was reading somewhere someone was having a problem with it.

i know all this is somewhere in the forum...i'm at work right now and don't have time to look for it

 

1. As far as I know, the blitzsafe interface is not designed to make the steering wheel controls work. The USA Spec is - that's why I opted for the USA Spec.

2. According to Acura - only 06 and up are officially supported but I think that people have done it before.

1) No control except volume on steering wheel

2) Most dealers will not install it unless you have an 06', but a few have installed on 04 and 05' and it worked.

 

ok nevermind. i'm dicking around at work cus it's slow so i read some threads quick fast on the musiclink and i didn't know it disabled the scroll wheel on the pod and then u had to use the car interface to scroll albums and such. i think i'll put in an order for the new blitzsafe chipped interface.

 

Do you plan on, or think you will ever install the DVD conversion? If so get the USAspec. If you get the Blitzsafe you will end up having to buy the USAspec or PIE to do the upgrade, so you might as well start off with it.
