iPOd AUX Setup

Anyone want to share how they set up the ipod connection to the aux input? I think Acura put the port in a REALLY stupid place. I am trying to get some ideas on how you guys are routing the wire and where to mount the ipod.

Pics would be greatful

Are you talking about the aux input in the center console? I found the best "non-invasive" solution for me was to get one of the Belkin car charger kits with the audio out on it. Then I just ran the Belkin cable through the little slot between the center console trays and then out through the slot in the top tray and set the iPod on top of the drink cover. There is plenty of slack to be able to operate the iPod from either front seat in the car and your iPod is always charged.

Then have a male to male 1/8 plug that plugs into the Belkin port and the other end into the TL Aux port. The Belkin plug has a volume slider on it which I put about halfway up to keep down the distortion. It's a very clean signal and I can't imagine anything better without having to open up the car and connect to the radio itself,.

I am installing the DICE module right now in my car but I believe I received a bad unit which is being replaced. My brother has the DICE module installed in his car (not a TL) and the sound is vastly superior to the sound that I get through the Aux port which is why I am changing how mine is set up.
