iPod adapter fit 2006 TL?

iPod adapter fit 2006 TL?
I have this part: 08A28-1H1-10101 available for super cheap used. 2 questions:
1) will it fit an 06 TL with Navi? The Acura Parts warehouse site says it will not, and fits 2007 TL. Were there any major changes, perhaps the addition of the aux port that makes it incompatible with the 06? Im hoping it does fit, but the website didnt update the info. It also says it wont ft an 08 NAvi TL either, so confused. I sent them an email verifying this, but wanted to see if you guys knew.
2) can i use an adaptor to plug the old 30 pin connector to a lightning cable, so that I can use it with my iPhone? Music and Charging,
I currently use a FM adaptor via bluetooth, and the static hissing prevents me from turning up the volume and it drives me nuts.
The BT45-Hon3 adaptor is like 8x the price, so leaning toward this if it fits.

I would not recommend using the old acura connecting system for ipod with iphone. The system was very clunky when it was new.
