2004 Acura TL XM to AUX input

Hey y'all. I know there are plenty of threads about this, but with each one I still come up short. I have found the red, black, green and white wires that I need to connect my RCA wires to. The issue I have is that I still get the preview channel still coming through when I change the radio to XM. I don't understand that since I cut the wires for the speaker when I spliced in the RCAs. Any help on what I am doing wrong will be greatly appreciated.

If you're looking to play music from your smartphone, go with the BT-45 HON3 adapter. Works great, and you get to keep XM.

Sorry, want to hijack this one for a quick question. If there is no XM button, i assume I dont have it and cannot plug the BT-45 into the XM port in the trunk? (only FM,AM,DISC,TAPE)

Depends on the year of car. If you have a canadian TL without XM, then you won't have the unit in the trunk. You'd connect to the back of the radio and would use the MODE button on the steering wheel to cycle to CDC or XM Input.

Dont know if its in conjunction with the Nav/clock Acura issue or not, but my Canadian TL with this Grom unit FLAKES OUT and freezes things now and then. Takes unplugging the back of the Grom unit for a full engine cycle on/off to clear the thing to get control of the Nav unit back. It basically removes itself from the mode selection cue...

... where as I can normally just choose AM and then clicking the DVD button, get to cycle between DVD and the two XM choices that normally show up only when the Grom hardware is inline and working...

Im not sure its totally Grom as with it unplugged the Nav occasionally doesnt let me turn on the radio or use the screen.
