can the dealer install a ipod connection in my car or auxilary connection or any other way besides fm transmitter

 

What year is your TL? I thought they all have an AUX port.

 

nope, 04-06 didnt. well, kinda, on the back of the stereo(where the XM plugs in), but not an easy headphone jack type input

 

dont ask the dealer, for one they no longer sell that unit because it sucked. second, you can do it just do a search. i bought the USA Spec unit, which you can do a search on, or the DICE unit. Just depends on your wants and needs. There is another one too, but if you do a search for one of those two you will find MANY links that will point you in the right direction, including directions for you to install yourself
