Is Acura planning on providing the Ipod upgrade for the 2004/2005 TL?

 

Has anyone heard about Acura making plans to retrofit older TL's for iPod? (doesn't it seem odd to call an '04 older?)

I called Acura, and they told me that "Maybe later in the summer" and then "If enough people call, they might do it."

I'm using a cassette devise right now, it works ok.

I've read other posting that suggest aftermarket procedures that sacrafice existing "ports." I would gladly give up any or all of the six CD's and XM radio to just plug in the iPod and use the touch screen as the interface (as I understand the '06 models can - but I don't want to risk generic aftermarket surgery on my great system, only to find Acura is gonna step up and keep their clients happy.
