iPhone Integration cable. I got questions.

Hey Guys, in my recent quest of wanting to make my navi screen somehow play video, I came across this and bought it from eBay. It was really clear. Are any of you guys familliar with this setup? If so, is it wortha damn? Will it play video? Does it interfere with other inputs? Is there a better solution? Is there a device that will allow me to play dvd's? If so who, what, where, and how much?

Thanks in advance..
Duke

Thats what I'm wanting to know is if this thing just plays thru the aux or does this thing play video? I'm going to install it wednesday so I guess all questions will be answered then. I was just hoping that someone in here knew of it's advantages.....

The Blitzsafe iPod adapter is a good basic way to play audio on your radio. It does not allow video only audio. No iPod kit available will pipe video to your nav screen. This requires a video interface that needs to be installed back at the nav drive in the trunk. Cost on a video interface is about $300 and can be used in conjunction with an iPod kit.

There are several iPod kits that will let you control the iPod's features from the radio and steering wheel buttons. The Blitzsafe kit does not. Also, there are several iPod kits for your TL that will display the PLAYLIST, ARTIST, ALBUM and TRACK info on your nav screen. The Blitzsafe does not.

Look into the Peripheral Media Gateway iPod kit for your TL. Also known as the iSimple. I believe there is a top notch vendor here on AZ that is running a group buy on the iSimple kits.

Word. I liked the Blitzsafe adapter. I used it in my wife's TL and her Accord for several years. It works great.
