iPhone 4 and HFL

2007 TL Type S

iPhone 4 works AWESOME with the HFL...so much louder. I had to turn the HFL down to like 12. I used to run it in the 30's to hear a phone call.

Does it have the same issue as the 3G and 3GS where if you dial from the phone you can not transfer it to HFL while dialing, but have to wait until the other person picks up the call?

Unfortunately yes, you still have to wait until you're already engaged in the call.

It's good to hear that the volume thing was fixed. I hated that the volume on the HFL was at 30. I don't use my phone that much in the car, but I do like it to connect in case someone calls while I'm driving.

Is anyone else having these issues with their iPhone 4 and the HFL? When I start the car, it doesn't automatically connect. I have to tell it "next phone" every time to get them to hook up. Once it's connected, the signal strength is correct, but the battery just shows one bar, even though the battery is near 100%. other than those two issues, it's working well. I didn't have those issues with the iPhone 3G this one replaced. My only gripes there were the lack of incoming caller ID on the dash and the occasional dropping back to the handset during a call as if the Bluetooth crashed.

Listening to iPhone 4 via Bluetooth?

I looked through the forums a while back and thought I found info on how to listen to my iphone music (and pandora) through the HFL - bluetooth. Yet I had a 3G and now cannot find the info.

My info:
05 TL with Nav and XM. No iphone 3rd party add-ons.

I now have an iphone 4. Can I listen to my music from my iphone 4 (and Pandora) through the HFL/Bluetooth?

Thanks!

Bluetooth on the 3G Acura TL HFL is only for voice. No music.

No. He was saying the third-generation Acura TL (not 3G phone technology or model) does not support anything but monaural voice over the HFL.

^^^ Try turning up your iPhone volume when you're not in the car-that should do it. I've got my volume on my iPhone up to full volume.

3gs with the volume on 40...still low. outgoing calls give me a problem, won't connect. So what I do is make the call (from the iphone), hang up, hit the HFL button and say redial (somewhat of a work around).

I can pair up my new iphone 4 with both my 08 TL and '10 Pilot successfully but cannot keep them paired. Any thoughts?

iPhone 4 and HFL Caller-ID display on dash

Has anyone figure out how to resolve the lack of caller-id information from the iPhone 4 to the HFL dash display yet? I have a 2004 Acura TL and the HFL works perfectly except for this problem. Thanks for any help!

turn on discovery mode on the phone. The bluetooth button, then go through the prompts in the car, pair phone and say a code to connect to the phone, thats about it, after its done give it a min, mine took a min to actually connect after i was done.
