Out of morbid curiosity, what kind of devices are you thinking of? There are several What If / Wouldnt it be nice bluetooth related posts buried in here.

I don't really see why everyone is always talking about this. I bluetooth device in the car is HandsFreeLink. Why would anything else work without modifications to the bluetooth software in the car to use the same transmitter or whatever that HFL uses?

HFL wasn't made to recieve signals from anything but phones, so it won't recognize or even pair with signals from other devices. Maybe one day there will be a universal bluetooth kit for cars or something, to pair things like MP3 players or computers to play music.

that's exactly what im thinking of. imagine, an mp3 player that hooks up to the audio system without wires (without the stinkin FM modulator too ). or even a next gen video console to play games using NAVI screen. theres a million possibilities!!

it would be nice if the next gen TL or RL would have bluetooth integration with everything! it would be nicer if current TL owners could get an upgrade.

Thats only ever goign to happen if they switch from incar NAVI to in car Computers. With those little Shuttle style machines running around today, it wouldnt be that hard, but I doubt they are going to do it anytime soon. I also wouldnt think Bluetooth would be fast enough for a Video stream like a gaming console, but there are those new "Wireless LCD Monitors" on the market. Whatever technology they are using could do it.,

In another thread I was saying I think we are more likely to see a way to do something simple like upload/edit/download your NAVI address book.
Past that I would love to see the in car GPS have a BT link on it so you can use a BT Handheld or Laptop and get the GPS Location info. But thats alot less likely.
