If you are having trouble with your installs you might want to check to make sure that your connections are fully seated.
I admit I was one of the problem children untill I went back and found that one of my connection was only partially seated. Most of the functionallity was present but there were a few glitches. When I went back and checked everything I noticed that one of the connectors on the PGHDD2 harness was not fully seated.
I think that with the number of pins that these connectors have, trying to get a new connector to make complete contact requires more force then you might at first think. In my situation I really needed to make sure that the connectors fully snapped into place.

!! TO EVERYONE !!
In the last month I sent out 3 replacement PXAMG's and 12 replacement harnesses. Whether it was a defective replacement or you ordered the wrong parts I expected the original part to be returned. I have received none of these parts back. WTF?
I'll be going though my invoices to find each person that has failed to return their part. If you're returning an exchange to me and it's on the way please let me know. I will not send you the nasty email reminder.

2006 Acura TL non-Nav and I love the iPod sound quality this thing provides, however...
I am having an issue with the PXAMG not liking when I take the key from off to start quickly. Same for turning the car off. If I pause for a second or two at the ACC position things work just fine. Unfortunately I forget this sometimes. In this case, cycling the ignition with the above-mentioned pause clears things up.
Also, can you please clarify the 4 input choices? Should I have the 3.5 MM/RCA input cable connected to the second round input connector or is this only for the HD Radio?
Thank you!

No danger... just needed to get your attention. For those of you that have installed the new PGHHD2 and PXAMG successfully, congrats and thank you for following these directions or playa4real's instruction thread.
The instructions that come with the PGHHD2 harness are still for the PGHHD1. However, there are updated instructions on the package label.
I have replaced one faulty PGHHD2 harness that was legitimately a bad harness. I have replaced 32 PGHHD2's and PXAMG's that were claimed faulty. When I got the alleged faulty parts back most of them were installed incorrectly and some I couldn't tell. But... they all worked perfect.
I got one kit back because it was making the iPod get hot and there was a burning smell when plugged in. When I got the kit back there was sticky crap all in the iPod plug. Maybe coffee? I dunno. I replaced the cable anyway.
There is an allowed flaw ratio when you're dealing with any electronics. We should all know this. However, please do your part to help my sanity by following directions.

Since I seem to be having the issues with my install I thought I would post here. I followed the directions to the T. First I updated the firmware. Then I installed the module in the trunk since I have a 07 TL-S. I made sure the connections were tight several times. You really do need to use a lot of force to get them seated. Once everything was connected I put the key in and turned to the acc mark but did not turn on the car. I then waited the 3 minutes with out touching anything. I do not get the XM1 or XM2 to show up on the nav display. I have tried pressing the aux button the screen too and it does nothing. I tried pushing the xm button on the radio below the nav screen and it does nothing. I have unistalled/reinstalled every thing at least 3 times. I am really starting to believe I got a bad harness. So what are my options now?

I had just installed the unit into my 07 TL Type-s and am running it with an Iphone 3g with some problems.
1st. I cannot control the songs from the steering wheel controls but i can control the volume.
2nd. It keeps on switching status from "ipod connected" to "no ipod connected" and the songs would constantly start and stop and start and stop again. Please help me troubleshoot. I am updated to the newest firmware version on the peripheral unit and on the 3g iphone also. Also i made sure that the 2nd pin was switched to the on position. could it be possible that i have a defective unit? PLEASE HELP!!!

When controlling the songs from the steering wheel you need to do the long press. You should hold the forward selector down for 3+ seconds until you hear the beep. It's the same as when you are advancing to the next disc for the CD player.
As far as the "iPod not connected" message, I very occasionally get this. You should check the iPod cable connection to the PXAMG. If you are using the extension cable this does not make as secure connection at the PXAMG as the iSimple cable does; you need to try and connect the cable so that it won't have any force on it that tries to pull it out of the PXAMG.

After I loaded iPhone OS 4.0 I started experiencing the following things when plugged in the car:
1) It would start fine most of the time and play for a few songs like normal but then the artwork on the phone would show the wrong thing, then the car will show the wrong thing and eventually it would just stop playing. Unplugging and plugging in the phone does not seem to remedy the problem though I did find the other day causing a sound to happen (typing a text…) would sync it back up sometimes.
2) The songs would start to skip and eventually playback would stop altogether.
I have tried having the car in Aux mode as well as the mode that shows the song titles. I have reported these things to Peripheral.

Cheap price...
Don't know if anybody is looking or not but I just purchased this setup from autotoys.com for 126.35 shipped using PAYPALFREE code at checkout. This was the cheapest price I found online and it's actually cheaper to purchase them separately from them instead of their package price of $148.
