Infinity Reference 6020cs or JL Audio VR600-CSi

which speakers you guys think are better. Its hard finding reviews on the JL speakers but I don't know if they have good quality for the name.

I can tell you first hand that the JLs sound great. The highs are crisp and clear, the mid to lows are very good.

A few of the guys here went with the Polk Audio speakers. I almost did that too. I have Polks in my truck and they are excellent. The Polk MMC6500's have gotten great reviews at Crutchfield and they will handle a up to 100 watts. Polk also has a good replacement for the 3 1/2" center.

See if your local stereo shop (maybe circuitcity or bestbuy) has any of these in their displays and test them out.

That's good to know because I just bought 2 pairs of the JL's. I'll probably go with Polk for the center speaker. It's gonna take me some time to figure out which head-unit to go with though.

speakers are the 1 part of your system that Money matters the least.......meaning that just because you spend more money doesn't mean you get better sound, as you do with most other components. Everyone's hearing is different....buy the speakers that SOUND BETTER to you.......My preference would always be the infinity speakers over the JL as to my ears infinity speakers are better. I also think they are a higher quality build.....but again with speakers....pick what you like.....

Hpdrifter is correct. Each person has a definite prefrence when it comes to sound quality. Pay attention to the material the tweeter domes are made of. For me, a metal dome tweeter usually sounds harsh to the point that I can barely listen at more than moderate volume levels. I had always heard that MBQuart speakers were supposed to be so great. Then I heard them in someones car and they sounded very harsh. When I told the owner that, he was very surprised. They sounded smooth to him.
