hey guys i have a 07 acura tl base with navi. i really hate the oem backup camera. its grainy and blurry image makes it useless. i would like to replace it with something good. any reccomendations?? i was finding random cameras on ebay for $20-$30. anyone know if these works. please and thank you guys

 

I dont think it is so much the camera but the navi screen is old as dirt.

Think of it as a TV the cheaper the tv the worse itll look the better the tv the crispier itll look..

The navi screen is like 240p lol New cars have amazing rear back up picture like 1080p. I was looking to do this myself but never found a clear answer.

 

Yes, I believe it is more the screen than the camera. I installed an aftermarket camera, plugged into the Nav2Go unit, and the picture was the same as OEM. I then replaced the navigation screen with a tablet computer (2012 Nexus 7), and the picture is much clearer, but that's a separate project/discussion...

 

Yup, wish we could just replace the lcd with a nicer one, even the one from the 4th gen would be a significant improvement
