I'm thinking about installing 80gig IPOD to my navi system. So instead of Navi to DVD mods like everyone else, I wanna convert it into Navi to IPOD mod. so i can watch ipod movies on my navigation screen. has anyone done this modification before? if you already have, can you show me some pictures or direct me to old threads?

 

I have done it and it simple. I have the following items:

Doms video converter - to get video to navi
USA SPEC HON2Y audio - to get sound to the car via IPOD (but 07 TL has aux input in center console)
SHADOW IPOD kit from radio-shack (24.99 andit has all the video wires in it)


Out of the top of the ipod, there is a headphone/Video jack. In the settings for video you have to turn it on/Ask.

Plug in the A/V cord in to headsert jack on ipod and conenct the video and audio wires just like for a home DVD player. If you need some help with this, i can post a diagram, how to and some other tips.
