I-Pod Compatability In CANADA

Im just curious where do I find someone that can make an adapter for my Ipod for my 06 TL....and I don't want to get the Radio Frequency thing.... My acura dealer tells me that there isn't any I-pod capability for my TL But I think its horsheshat! Canadian model TL's shouldn't have anything to do with if I can install an Ipod attachment or not.... what do I do about my brand New NANO I have????

Any help would be appreciated

Signed Ipodless!

I would assume your headunit is the same in the TL in canada as in the US. Why not just buy the ipod kit from a dealer in the US and install it yourself? Just a thought

hhhmmm,
no XM in Canada (at least not in the current TL; i hear its' coming)...
..perhaps a looksee in the shop manual might show any differences in the
Canadian radio pinouts....if the harness is the same i would gues it would be worth trying a US kit?

I asked my dealer about getting an XM module for my 05 TL, now that the service is available in Canada, and I was told the wiring harness is different for Canada so the module would not work, more horseshat I think since I looked under the dash and I could see an open 14pin port on the back of the HU where the XM would plug into. I have an Alpine XM module for one of their HU and I was thinking of trying to connect it to the open port and see if it works, I just need the pinouts for the T020XM module.
