How to Wire LED Strips
How to Wire LED Strips
i need some help figuring out how to wire led strips in the footwells so that they only come on when the doors open. at first i thought it would be as easy as wiring them into the interior fuse.....turns out this does not work. after doing some research i learned that when the doors are closed the circuit is broken (via the ground wire). so apparently i can tap into any 12v power source but i need to find the ground that goes to the doors. i read the install directions for the illuminated footwells so i know it can be done, but he was tapping the ground at the bottom the pillar with seatbelts. anyone know where it is located closer to the fuse panel?
def. go for the recalls, an engine fire can start unless they are performed
there is no such think as a 60K tune up, at 60K this is what needs to be done:
Change Engine Filter - easy 4 screws (DIY posted here)
Change Cabin Filter - easy, 3-4 screws and some clips (DIY Posted)
Oil Change
Oil Filter Change
Tire rotation
Check brakes
Replace brake fluid if the car is 3 years old and it has not been changed, and if it has been changed, 1 year from fluid change date.

well i am not taking it in for a "scheduled service", but like i said i want those recalls done and also the engine has started making a noise that needs to be fixed, the passenger door handle had a piece break and fall off, the drivers side widow makes a terribly loud noise when i roll it down, and it needs an oil change....so while there might as well get them to look over everything. i just got 4 new tires, oil filter, and wiper blades.
thanks for all the help and advice.....

Well the best thing I have found on wiring was on the install for the illuminated door sills.....so when i get back to town next week i guess that what i am going to try.
