IDM, when you put your iPhone in the discover mode, be sure to click-on or highlight your device on the iPhone itself. Then go through the proceedure outlined in the owners manual for the car immediately after you've done that to your iPhone.

I'm having isssues with mine too. It won't pair. Ive tried it a dozen times even with the Acura hfl rep and no dice. I upgraded my phone to 4.2 code and same issue. It paired with my 3GS a year ago with no probs. I've had my iPhone 4 for 8 months.
Can anyone provide detailed steps as the manual doesn't work.. My phone is in discovery mode any never finds my Acura hfl

i paired my Iphone 4 in about two min with my 07. Just turn on bluetooth and go to settings, general and bluetooth and just turn it on. Make sure before this you press the HFL button on your steering wheel and say HELP, Then say Pair phone, i think thats the next step. After that it will say enter a code to pair your phone.. say 0000 and then do the previous step about the phone...Good luck man, Oh and right after that you can go to your nav if you have it and go to phonebook and import phonebook, took me about two min total..

Okay Im sorry guys this is an old thread. I did get my phone to pair the day that I posted this but have continued to have problems.
When I want to make a call I have to do it through my phone and then select bluetooth AFTER the person answers, then there is a few second delay before we can hear each other. Isnt there a way I can import my phone book to the car or do I have to put in each number individually? I dont have navigation.
