How to take off Vanity Light Cover

I'm trying to get the vanity light cover off but it's not coming off. there's a slot on the side that looks like you just kinda pry it off but it wont come off. i'm not sure if there are any clips are not.

this applies to the trunk light as well. i don't want to mess up the interior or the light cover.

need some help

what i did was stick a flat head screwdriver in between the plastic cover and the metal bracket. if you're on the drivers side, stick it in from the right (closer to the middle of the car) and go in from the left on the passenger side.

when you stick in the screwdriver, just push on the clear plastic tab and it should release the plastic cover from metal bracket and headliner.
