How to stream music from phone?

04 non nav TL here. Audio noob as well. I know we cant stream music from our phones using bluetooth. I have a htc inspire phone. Im getting tired of using the tape deck with a 3.5mm cable coming from the tape deck into my phone.

Is there any way to connect a 3.5mm cable directly to the backside of the headunit? Will this give better audio quality then using the tape deck? Id like to run the wire under the center console and through the cup holder to eliminate the wire hanging over the shifter.

Is this my best option? I never use an ipod and I will never own an Iphone. I just want a head phone jack that I can connect my phone to.

It says its plug n play. Once installed, what source must be used on the headunit in order for this to work?

Not a bad solution. I have this on my 06. You use the DVD button to select it up as a CD-C (changer). Unfortunately, these units are known to be flaky with Honda head units. Every so often, mine will display "CD4" and play what I'm inputting (CarPC). Disconnecting the battery for a bit resets it.
I am frustrated with it, so I am installing a PIE X3, which gives me 2 additional inputs, should I need/want them.

It seems many people are having issues with the blitzsafe unit. iSimple looks less problematic?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ACURA-IPHONE...item53e695d19e

Compatibility Requirement

- Vehicles equipped with an external 6-disc changer, it must be disconnected for the Interface to function properly. You will lose the use of your factory CD Changer.
- Vehicles equipped with factory satellite tuner, it must be disconnected for the Interface to function properly. You will lose the use of your factory satellite tuner.

Would I lose both the xm and cd options or pick which one I dont want to use anymore?

iSimple is for iPhones/iPods. You said you would never own one of those.
PIE X3 connects PnP (like Blitzsafe) and adds 3 inputs. There are other solutions----hit the 3G Garage Audio section.

^from what I understand, there are 2 versions of iSimple. The ebay link I gave is the version that uses rca cables to 3.5mm jack.

"The PXAUX directly connects your Audio Media Device Player to your factory radio through the supplied AUX cable (RCA Audi/3.5mm head phone jack. This universal device can provide audio inputs into your factory radio for devices such as: MP3 players, portable DVD players, laptops, gaming systems"

Both the isimple and blitzsafe are about the same price. Im still trying to figure out if your lose both the cd and xm functions using the isimple.

the isimple usually includes 2 conncetors. it comes with the main gateway that you plug at the head unit, then a cable for ipod, then a second cable that has a standard headphone jack coupled with 2 rca connectors. the isimple shows an ipod input, then aux 1 and aux 2 once its plugged in and accessed through the xm button. i would reccomend the isimple. hope this helps.

Looks like the product for me is the isimple dualink. It has 2, 3.5mm/rca cables instead of 1 3.5mm/rca cable and 1 ipod cable. Plus, its only 80$ shipped for the dualink which is cheaper then the other model which comes with the ipod cable
