How to remove side curtain airbag?? anyone know how??

Hey gals/guys, I'm looking into doing a remote mount of atennae lead to the top of the windshield. Getting the sensor up their requires either tucking or removing the side curtain air bag panel. Before I go deploying air bags...does anyone know how to remove the panel?? Number of clips..hidden screws?? etc??

Thanks

Do you mean the A-Pillar, the posts on both sides of the windshield? Just take a butterknife, pry up the AIRBAG CURTAIN button, and the cover will pop out with ease.

thhanks...so just to be sure....I pop off the airbag curtain button first? is there any reason I'm doing that (access to other clipes, screws, etc) or could I just essentially pop the whole panel off in one piece?? Thanks

Other than a couple plastic holders, the airbag button is the only thing securing the pillar to the frame. You can try taking it off with the button still in, but I couldn't guarantee it'd go back.

That button does nothing but hold the A-Pillar in place. There is no risk of deploying the air bag by popping out the button.

If what Trew said is the confirmation you were looking for, OP, then yeah, popping out the button does not activate the airbag system.
