I have an 2008 Acura TL with the Navi. Will that play a DVD with MP3s on it? If so are there specific DVD types or burn methods that I need to use? Thanks for any help

you have the 2008 TL that has MP3 capabilities.
Which means, any CD-R loaded with mp3s can be played via 6 disc changer.

Yes but it also indicates DVD on the face of the unit. I assumed that it would let me play DVD's as well with MP3?

DVD-Audio.

you can get DVD-Audio disc from amazon, full albums...but there isnt a lot of albums to choose from.

it would be a moot point for you to put MP3s on a dvd-audio disc, because your specific head unit reads MP3s from CD-Rs

Thanks for the info. The only benefit that I was looking for was additional capacity to put MP3s on a DVD vs a CD.

6 disc cd changer.
if each cd-r can hold lets say 150 songs = 900 songs!
and you dont have to deal with folders, like you would with the dvd-a.

the 04-06 guys only do the dvd-a mp3 disc because we cant play mp3s off a cd-r.
thats the ONLY reason why we do it.

your head unit is able to play cd-r mp3s.
why go through all the trouble of encoding and burning of dvd-a when your head unit can natively play mp3s?
