You warranty would cover it but depends on how it was damaged. If you hooked up anything after market to it such as amps, new head unit or just plainly messed with it and they find out they will likely turn you down for replacement.

Yeah, it all depends on how they're broken. If you blew them out somehow, that's your fault and they won't replace them. If they broke due to a manufacturer defect, then the warranty applies.

Another thing... I would rather invest in a new set of speakers rather then going stocks. Likely cost less than what acura would charge you for new oem speakers plus install. Upgrade for less. Of course that's just me.

well just about anything that is after market, such as diamonds, infinity, jbl, kickers, alpine, rockfords, kenwood, boss, pyramid, polk, mb quartz, sony, pyle, jensen and the list goes on and on. So much to choose from it's just a matter of prefference for your ears. I suggest you listen to different speakers before deciding. If you know of friends who have after market systems just listen to theirs to give you an idea. Sometimes listening to the speakers at showroom might fool your ears a bit at times just depends though. I recommend listening to the speakers installed in cars. But if the showroom that you're buying the speakers at allows you to play with the speakers and adjusting them then I would go that route too. You can get the top of the line speakers but if you don't tune it right then it's just as good that the walmart products that sell for 30 dollars lol.

You might also want to check out crutchfield.com. They have a good website that'll tell you what fits in your car, give you instructions and any fitting material as well. They also review just about everything they sell.

are you looking to replace the speakers because they are broken?
Did you even buy a car yet?

Speakers are like anything in this world. research and listen. find the ones that fit your needs. (price, sound)

if you are planning to upgrade the subwoofer, you would most likely have to go aftermarket with an amp and sub combo.
free air subs...meaning a sub that you can just drop in the factory spot wont sound as good.

but all this means nothing, if you havent bought the car yet.

You've got a ton of research to do and all of the info is out there already. I'll help you with one thing, don't waste money on aftermarket rear speakers or center speaker, spend the difference on better fronts.

He should just replace the fronts, rears and do a sub in a box if he wants it to sound really good. If he did JL C2's which are still components, but dont have to be on an amp, then do a reasonably affordable sub with an amp that would sound pretty good for the money.
