How much does the CD wear out the battery?

Just wondering how much the CD player wears out the battery if the engine is off. Every once in a while when I can't fall asleep I will go out and sit in my car and listen to the stereo for 20 or 30 minutes, sometimes radio but usually DVD. Will the battery always get recharged fully the next time the car is driven, or is there a point where listening to the stereo with the engine off too often will ruin it so it can't get recharged properly anymore? Also my stereo/speakers are all completely stock.

the battery recharges next time you have the car running... 20 or 30 min will not kill the battery at all

I dont know.. stock battery .. my shit sometimes use to die out while getting my car filled up at the pump. This was in the winter though... and I did have a defective battery.. nonetheless.. embarassing when you have a nice looking car that doesn't start.

It even happened one time at the car wash.

LOL that must be so embarassing, especially like you say; with a modded bad ass car.

To the OP, how long is your drive the next day?
Also, to play music before I sleep I bought some Senheiser headphones from amazon. The big over the ear ones, and with my iPod I really enjoy listening to tunes in bed, might be easier than going to the car.

I have those headphones and they are GREAT.

I was wondering this also but I think it depends a lot on the condition of your battery and how loud you play your tunes. Keep in mind that even with a stock system, you are still powering an amp plus the stock speakers and head unit. Me personally, I would not go more than 30 minutes before switching it off but I have a stock Acura battery. If I had a Optima or something like that, I would say an hour easy before I started to worry.

I have an 04' with a Acura battery, (may be stock) and I had XM on for atleast 30 minutes at a low volume prolly around 10 and talked on the HFL for about 15 minutes and had the dome lights on and off the whole 45 minutes, ( i was changing the domes to LEDs) and the next morning it started right up with no problem. Oh and radio is stock.
