Bluetooth Caller Id issue

Hey guys,

I'm new to this forum. After looking at the competition it seems like this site has the most users which is great!

I have a 2008 Acura TL Type S

Question is that I have my Blackberry 8330 Telus phone paired. Now the phone book through the screen is not populating. Is there a setting I can change or is it a Telus (CDMA) thing. My friend has the same phone with Rogers and his phone book displays on screen.

Thank you,

Might be a firmware issue specific to the carrier. It is not unusual for the same phone on two different carriers to use two slightly different versions of the firmware and thus have slightly different features and functionality enabled.

I dont think you can import your address book. I believe you need to manually add the entries.

please correct me if wrong because I would like to do the same.

Not sure then. If it works with one phone but not the other and the firmware is the same, then the hardware might not be. I have had the import tool work with a blackberry curve 8310 as well as an iPhone so I have not had any real issues with it.

Later version (07 and beyond) navi cars had the ability to import the phone book and search. This is a function of the navigation system rather than the BT module.
