Exclamation How to get telescoping steering wheel working on '08 TL?

Hi guys,

I just bought a 2008 Acura TL with navigation and backup camera. So what I'm trying to do is get the telescoping steering wheel working. I've drove a a friend's friends' car and his TL had it and it was a 2007. I'm talking about where the steering wheel automatically adjust forward and levels when you sit in the seat.

Also I've also seen when you put the car into reverse the side mirrors are supposed to tilt downwards automatically but my TL doesn't do that either??

How can I get this working? Please help thanks!

we dont have automatic telescoping steering wheels.
we do however have MANUAL telescoping steering wheel.

you set it and forget it.
as in; it will always be stationary and never move when you get in and get out.

as for the mirrors, on the left hand side of the dash there is a mirror switch. your switch must be set in the middle of L and R.
if you move it to either L or R, the mirror will tilt in reverse respectively

maybe your seat was moving automatically back to memory position (something we DO have) and you thought it was the steering wheel moving? lol

Ok so I put the mirror on R and it only makes the right mirror go down. The other mirror doesn't go down. Also for some reason when I do that and am trying to back up the mirror keeps trying to go down and getting stuck.

Also how can you make BOTH mirrors go down. And fix how it gets stuck.

You only have the option on choosing one side to go down on reverse. Its either the Left or Right but not both.
As far as the mirror clicking or getting stuck going down try moving the mirror all the way up then down and see if that works. If not then theres a diy in the garage about cleaning and putting new grease behind the mirror.
