I have a 05 tl with nav I seen how other people's street maps have a black background while mine is white . How do I get that or is my map CD really old?

 

if on the set up screen, you have "auto" selected, it will change from white to black once you turn your head lights on.

if, in the set up screen it is set to "Day" it will always display white.


If, in the set up screen the option for "night" is selected, it will be black.


so, go through the set up screen and hit "auto"

 

Also, make sure your dash brightness isn't set to MAX. If the brightness is on MAX, the display will always be white regardless of the settings on the set-up screen.
