I've had XM ever since I picked up the car from the dealership, that's all I used to listen to. Now, I have a couple of CD's that I'm listening to. I noticed that there was no pause button on the TL audio display. This morning i figured out how to pause CD 1 by pressing the back button (button 1). I tried to pause another CD by pressing the 1 button but it only went back to CD 1. Is it possible to pause CD 2, 3, etc.......

HOW THE HELL DO I PAUSE A CD IN MY CAR??????

 

Just hit the button number of the CD you're listening to.

 

try reading the owners manual operations book that came with the car!!!!
they went to a lot of trouble to write if for you- least you can do is read and understand how your car operates- be a DRIVER!!!
There are so many trick systems on the TL , and discovering things like the traction control and how it works, is something you want in your memory- not finding out on the wet or icy road what it does!!!!

 

Thanks man, just went out for lunch and paused CD 2 . But damn, my car needs a wash and DAAAMMMNNNNN I need gas again.

how do i remove a cd once i put it in the slot thingy???

 

you press the number of the CD you want to remove and then press eject???
pretty straight forward....

 

While the CD that you want to eject is playing...push the CD eject button.

I'm bumping this thread because after owning my TL for 2 1/2 years, I just accidentally discovered that you can pause a playing CD or DVD by pressing the disc# key of the currently playing disc.

I must have missed this thread and I never tried looking for an answer before. However, I just searched the owner's manual for "pause" and it doesn't tell you in there.

None of the keys are marked pause or with the || symbol, so this isn't as obvious as it should be.
