How do I get speaker wire thru the doors?

Like the title says, how do I get that speaker wire from after market speakers back into the car.

Im asking because I dont want to use the stock wiring, under the assumption that it might be too thin. wondering how everyone else who chose my route did it...

Im waiting for some stuff to come in the mail before I do my install...and will post pics when i get it done.

This is what I'll be putting in the car:

4 sets of Polk 6501's w/ 2 alpine pdx 4.100
Polk 351 for the center channel- powered stock
2 10" Type R subs - two amps bushin 600rms each (cant remmember models)
and the 3.sixty.2

I appreciate the input...thanks

Do a search for "custom audio install". The ideal way would be to drill a hole through the molex plug in the door.

dude....im pushing "150watts" through each channel on my amp in the front i have 2 speakers in the door and the tweeters in the dash and 2 speakers n the rear and 2 tweeters.....all running off of stock wiring up front and upgraded in the rear.....trust me u wont get anywhere near the potential of the amp til it begins clip, and even then....you wont burn the wires. good luck trying to run cables its a pain in the ass i got 3 cables through each door all about the size of the stock wiring for the alarm and turn signals for the mirrors.... and thats about all u can get in there....no upgraded speaker cables will fit cleanly.

Possible, I believe Rodney said there are 10-12 pins that are unused, drill those out, and fish through that. then fish it through to the car. And as he said, have fun scraping the skin off your hands trying to pull the wire from behind the fuse box

you guys are funny...it is cake getting wires into the door on this car...just pull the molex plug out...and use a rotary file and just enlarge the notch on the door side of the plug...10 minutes per door and you're golden

iirc..there is no car side of the plug...the harness extends and than connects to the door molex!

I did the wiring upgrade after having my JL amp bridged for quite some time on the stock wiring. I didn't notice a difference in loudness but it did sound more dynamic. Could've been wishful thinking I guess.

I agree with CSWBIGGS this will be the fastest and easy way to add a upgrade wire in the doors

CSW are you worried about the speaker wire chaffing on the metal door edge and potentially shorting out? This seems like a great approach but it sure seems like there should be some additional protection to the speaker wire above just the insulation
