I have a 2004 Acura TL that was bought wrecked!!! When I got the car the Navi screen was broke (The LCD leaked out). I bought another navigational screen off of ebay and the guy I bought it from dont know the vin # of the car that it had come out of, because he had bought it off of somebody as so he says!!! I called the acura dealership, and they said i need some #'s off of the screen to get the code for it, but as expected none of the codes worked. PLEASE somebody help me. I really dont want to run through 9999 different possible combinations. If anyone could help please do! Thanks......Kyle

 

that screen was hot man. I would not even have that in your possecion. Do not wait for the FBI to come knocking on your door.

 

Without the VIN you are probably screwed. There are also a lot more than 9999 different combinations. Good luck.

 

I think the unit locks up after so many wrong codes, not 100% tho. A dealer should be able to get you the code off the serial number on the unit. Good luck

 

That is a good point, it may lock up. If they can get the code off the serial number from the unit - they may want proof that you bought it legally and that it's not stolen (just a heads up for when you go to a dealer)
