How to clear previous owner's NAV data???

So I have been looking around on how to do this and must be missing something. I already cleared the hands free link but I also want to wipe all the previous owners address books, previous destinations, etc. Is there an easy way to do this outside of having the dealer do it?

Thanks

I think it's the Setup button and tab 2 or 3 (I don't recall if the address books and previous destinations were under the same tab).

It's in the Navigation User's manual; if you don't have it, you can get on-line access to the Owner's and Navi manuals by registering at: http://owners.acura.com/

Thanks, I will give that a try. I looked through my owner's manual but must have missed that part.

Just play with the navigation.
if you have an IQ above 90, you can figure it out.

Haha, I just spent a couple minutes in the setup menu and erased it all. I missed the tab in the setup menu that takes you to the next page. Pretty simple.

Thanks guys.

Acurazine comes through again.........another happy driver. I made sure to clear my Navi, HFL, etc. before trading in my TL-S. Don't need that info out there for someone else to use to find my house and use the Homelink to open my garage......

Its funny you say that because when I got my TL 3 days ago, it had not been cleared of anything. The homelink was paired, HFL was paired to 2 phones with tons of phone numbers stored and even more contacts in the NAV. Funny thing was that most of them were salons and restaurants. So it looks like not only was my car from FL (no snow) but it was a woman's car (most likely didn't flog on it)...score!

Mine was filled with data aswell.
I could have pressed "go home" and it would have taken me to the previous owners house..

I like the fact that you can use a PIN to access or navigate to your home address. I never entered it in the past for that reason...zero security.

I store a nearby address without a PIN-- it's close, but not where I (or anyone else) lives.

I did similar, programmed my home address to a local Church near me! So if someone steals my car and tries to "Go Home" (after figuring out my pin that is) maybe they'll feel bad when pulling into the Church parking lot and return my car to me
