Exclamation How To change Rear Speakers???HELP!!!!

My rear right speaker has been blown and I need to change it out but I could not get into the speaker compartment..I attempted to go in from the trunk but there is a metal tray that protects all three speakers..Do I need to remove the back seats or something of that nature to get to the speakers..I don't want to go to a professional installation place for such a minor speaker switch...Please help me with any suggestions on how to get to the rear speakers so i can change them out..

Remove rear seats, bottom and back, remove rear deck. Just basically pull it off. Than you can directly access the speakers. Make sure you check the ohms on your replacement speaker, they are 2 ohms so it would be difficult to find aftermarket speakers, better off going with an acura replacement.

I had no problems replacing every speaker in my car.... Except the sub. FYI you will also have to sides off.. C pillars? But the suckest part is the seat back.. I hate them.

The speakers I got were Infinity 62.7i Car Audio 6 1/2" ($82.95 pair) from hifisoundconnection .com

This thread is replacing the center channel and tweeters:

You have to make your own hole for the rears:

Fronts: ($82.95 pair)
https://acurazine.com/forums/showpos...6&postcount=97

And this thread tells you the sizes and the specs for the speakers.

Thanks Kracker.

Welcome aboard Madvillian. Please perform a search before posting.

There are several threads on speaker/amp replacement. Many are outlined in the 3G Garage and the 3G TL Audio & Electronics FAQ.

Good luck!
