I have heard that all the new Navi's have Zagat information with all the restaraunts. I have a 2004 TL with Navi. We don't have the Zagat information. Is this something that I could get if I ordered an updated DVD? How can i get this information...it would be very handy to have.

If I'm not mistaken, only the Navi's for the '05/'06 RL have the Zagat information. I just heard it from an Acura salesman this past weekend.

Hmm...it would seem to me it might just be a software issue. Now that I think about it, it was a MDX that had this feature...aren't these the same navi's? I would think you could somehow make it work..maybe not. gt1....do you have a reason why this won't work...I'm curious.

The navi in the MDX and RL were upgraded to have this (I believe the 06' TSX may have this as well). They have a faster processor as well as updated software. You cannot get it.

The 06 Accord/Civic also have the new navi with the Zagat guide.

I'm really pissed! I understand that little is backward compatible but the 06 Civic should not have better stuff than 06 TL period! I think we should all complain in some organized fashion.

I agree. Let's do it. Especially when the average civic owner isnt looking for highly rated restaurants and a TL owner might be.

Uh oh here goes another thread on this...it remains to be seen whether the 06 TSX unit can be transferred. I like to think there is still hope. Until then youll have to go to Barnes and Noble and buy a Zagat guide

I think what he was getting at is that the average Civic owner is probably younger than a TL owner and therefore might not be as "sophisticated", I don't think it's "ridiculous" as you put it at all, most people I know who own Civics are teenagers who are unlikely to read (or even know of) Zagat's

The Zagat Survey is listed as a feature on the '06 TL according to the Acura website.

Look under Luxury and Comfort -> Navigation System -> Overview and scroll down

I drove a civic, and I enjoyed nice restaurants at the time... the individual is meaningless, I'm talking about an entire demographic. Yes, I'm profiling! (gasp) And I stand by my statement... the average civic owner wouldn't be looking for highly rated restaurants.
