I recently purchased an '04 base model TL. The key fob doesn't have a remote trunk release button, which shocked me. The only way for me to pop the trunk is to press the button under the dash on the driver's side. Which parts do I need, besides the new key fob, to add remote trunk release? Is this a difficult thing to do?

 

that's surprising, as the default key should have the button. If you can get your hands on a corresponding keyfob, with the button, you should be able to program it with some of the directions on this site. The remote pop feature should already be there. (I have 04 navi TL and it's definitely there).

 

the 04+ TL has remote trunk opening. It appears you may have the remote for an MDX which does not have the trunk button, but still operates the locks. You can find some TL remotes which have the trunk button on them for around 30 dollars on ebay.

 

^ What he said just be sure to match the FCC id numbers and make sure you have a mem1 and mem2 fob.
