Hidden benefit of DICE iPod kit

I didn't see this advertised on their site and I hadn't read about this anywhere else on here but compared to using the AUX input in my center console with my iPod to now I discovered something this morning that I LOVE.

When you are listening to the iPod and use the HFL, the DICE unit will PAUSE your iPod and then when you aren't using the HFL anymore the DICE unit then puts your iPod back into PLAY mode. This might not be a big deal to anyone else, but I always had to reach into the center console and pause the iPod because I didn't want to miss any of the song I was listening to and now I don't have to.

Overall I am very happy with the unit after using it almost 2 weeks.

Nice feature. The USAspec does'n't do that.

Really? Haven't tried that but it should as the HFL system turns off the radio...

Not exactly. The USASpec isn't programmed to respond to the radio - it doesn't issue a stop command to the iPod. And while you can't hear the music, it's still running.

^^^This is true. I have a USASpec and love it but this no pause on the HFL is the only issue I have. I can't believe that those who have the USASpec haven't noticed this. One minute you're jammin away to one song, phone call, and when you come back - new song. It is what it is. It works perfectly the rest of the time so I love it.
