HFL Volume Control

New owner of 06 NBP (W/O NAV). When I use my HFL, I can barely hear the person on the other end of the phone. Is there a volume control somewhere? It seems as though this just started happening. When I bought the car it seem to work normally. When I use my phone in the car (without HFL) I have problem with the volume. (Phone is a RAZR)

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

use the volume buttons on the steering wheel or the knob directly on the radio to raise or lower the volume

On some calls, I really need to crank it up. After I'm done with the call, I usually hit the HFL button and adjust the volume back to a reasonable level so I don't get blasted by the next louder call.

A nice feature is that cranking up the volume for the HFL does not mean that you will get blown out of the car when the stereo comes back on after you end the call. It somehow tracks the volume separately.

The volume on my phone effects the volume of my HF. I don't know if this is all phones, but if I have the volume on my phone turned way down, then I have to jack the volume in the car. I try to keep my phone volume right in the middle, it seems to work the best. Next time, try adjusting the volume on your handset while on a HF call.
