hey i have a Samsung D820 and everything works fine excpet that i have problems with the volume...when i try to make a call it doesnt work tru the speaker system or wutever it has...and i cant hear anything..i wud have to take the phone to my ear and talk...but when ppl call me it seems to work fine..at times it does work fine though....just wondering if its some setting i gotta set with the volume or music or something...

 

I have come to find out that it only works when made through the hfl. Like you cant just pick up your phone and press dial on it. You actually have to input the number through the hfl phone book and make the call through the hfl. Or just press the talk button on the wheel and say "dial ### ### ####" I hope this helps.

 

yeye..thats when you make the call..i do all that..i dial the number and its supposed to ring tru the speakers and everything and when the person on da other line answers is supposed to be able to talk and hear tru the car...but in my case...im able to dial the number and it will ring on the phone only..and i can then only tlk and hear tru the phone and not the car speakers..

 

That is weird. Although if you recieve calls it will go through the speakers..? Hmm, perhaps you should hit up your stealership.

 

yea i can receive calls no problem...just makin the calls it has issues with this phone..i used to have a v635i and everything worked fine with that phone though..even signal strength called id everything...so i dun think its no electrical problems...

 

I have exactly the same experience, but have the Palm Treo 700. Whenever my phone gets picked up by the Bluetooth car signal the icon on the phone for Bluetooth changes to a headset indicating it's in the handheld mode. Still haven't figured out why it switches to this mode. Worked fine for a one year before this started. If I figure out how to get out of this mode I will post it and hopefully it will help you. By the way my wifes phone works perfectly so I know it's not the TL's bluetooth.

 

Does your cell phone allow you to change how a headset connects (headset vs handsfree profile)?

I believe the TL uses the handsfree mode.

 

well under bluetooh services i have options that describe each for example for Headset it says the remote bluetooth headset enables outgoing/incoming calls and is says the same for Handfree..but under my Devices it does have HandFreeLink TM listed and connects automatically when go close to my car...

 

Looks like mine is working now. I took the battery out of the cell phone for a few seconds and it worked after that. The Bluetooth icon on the cell phone still changes to the headset icon though when the TL pairs with the cell phone. Haven't found any headset vs handsfree profile mode on my phone. Just hands free mode.
