Question HFL Phone WITHOUT camera?

I am currently an AT&T user with a Siemens S56 looking to upgrade to a new phone.
I can stay with my AT&T service or switch to Cingular but my big problem is I need a phone without a built-in camera.

I work for a company that supports Government contracts and I am required to go into secure areas and camera phones are not allowed.

Any recomendations?

Thanks,
Seabee

If you're looking for a PDA phone, the Siemens SX 66 is a pretty good phone. It's slighly bulkier than your regular candybar phones, but it's pretty powerful. What type of phone are you looking for?

I was in a similar position. My company disallows camera phones for security reasons. I was with Sprint, but the only phone they carry with Bluetooth is the LG325 and that has a camera. My company switched me to Cingular and got me a Motorola V540, which is basically a V551 without the camera. You won't find the V540 in the retail stores, it is a corporate phone only at this time (don't know if that will change). I've only had it for a day or so, but it paired easily and seems to work flawlessly. Obviously with such little time using the phone in the car I can't "yet" strongly recommend it, but as I stated thus far it works well. Strong signal (4 or 5 bars), but naturally that's going to be dependent on location relative to the towers. Shows signal strength on the MID, but I don't remember seeing Battery power.

stay with the S56. that was the best phone i ever used with HFL. bluetooth connectivity with HFL is flawless, plus you get both battery and signal meter on the MID

Thanks for the input.

As far as phone features I haven't any particular requirements other then no camera.

If I can find a phone/PDA all the better but not a requirement.

I agree the S56 pairs well and works well with the TL but as a phone I have had very bad luck with it. I have lost all my numbers in the phonebook for no apparent reason (same thing happen to my wife earlier) and the phone isn’t as easy to use as my previous phones.

Thanks again

You might also want to consider the Blackberry 7100g (and the 7100t). According to this post, it works with the TL. Also, it doesn't have a camera.

Sony Ericsson T68i is a great phone that has bluetooth with no camera. It might be hard to find one.

The T68i is a good phone other than the fact that it is outdated. You can get them from eBay for $40.00 to $50.00. Here's a link to someone selling it for $55.00.

Best bet find the early bluetooth phones that AT&T offered. My favorite is the Nokia 6310i. Bar phone, bluetooth GSM and no camera.

The only other thing missing was speakerphone. Excellent reception and l-o-n-g battery life. Pairs right up with HFL. Like other Nokias, no battery and signal strength on the dash. Lack of speakerphone is the only reason I replaced mine. They come up on ebay from time to time.
