Today when I got in my car my iphone did not appear in the display with the phone icon. My phone showed it was connected via bluetooth.


When I press the hfl button I get no beep, therefore I cannot enter any commands. The phone shows that I am paired but the HFL button does not beep.

Any help would be appreciated.

Does the HFL work after an ignition cycle/restart of the car?

-If yes, it may be a momentary glitch that may rarely or never recur again.
I had an HFL lockup with HFL "booting up" message happen w/i 6 months of getting the car new, it recurred a few more times and has not happened in the last couple of years.

-If not, go through the diagnostics.

 

Sometimes my HFL doesn't recognize my phone either (SE 637T - Yea, I know its old). If I turn the phone off and then on again it usually fixes the problem. Just a thought.
