HFL just died

My HFL system just went dead this afternoon. It was working this morning, and, doing nothing more than drive the car once, it no longer works. When I mean it no longer works, I mean it's as if it does not exist. My Treo 650 cannot find HFL, and when I push the talk button, I get no response. Yes, the Treo works, because I was able to use a BT headset. When I push the HFL button on the MID, I get a response of "no information available."

Anyone have a clue how to fix this, or is it a dealer issue. I hate my dealer, but if I must go there, I will. I'm just hoping a hammer to the side of the dash will make it work

Try re-pairing your phone to the HFL system. If that doesn't work, try disconnecting the car battery for 4-5 secs., which allows the car's electronic systems to reset.

Just disconnect the battery for a minute. You will probably need to re-enter your radio and navi codes once you start up, but that isn't a big deal.

I couldn't pair the phone again, because the HFL was completely inactive. However, after the car sat over night, it just worked again. I hate gremlins

Thanks for the advice. I'll remember the disconnect the battery idea.

I hate the HFL. It is such a peace of shit. Mine never works right and never understands a word I say.

Always locks up or transfer my call to my phone right in the middle of a call. Or I will dial a phone number using the HFL and it starts to ring. Then when the person on the other line picks up the HFL shuts down and tranfers the phone call back to my cell phone.

How did Acura let this car go out with such a pieceof shit HFL. I hope one day I run into the guy who made this system. He is going to get an ass kicking

That's because you have rims on your car. People who keep their car stock tend to speak proper english and don't have a problem with the HFL.

If you add the word "like" to every third word of your sentences, or refer to the female voice in your car as a "ho", your success rate is going to go down.

Just some tongue in cheek food for thought.
